Tian Luo: Since Qingpu used to be a fishing village there are all kinds of fish available, as well as lobster, shrimp, and crab, all of which are extremely fresh. Also try a plate of tian luo, which is a kind of river snail, sometimes called a mystery snail. Basically it's a bunch of little mini snails which are so small that you have to eat them by poking a toothpick inside and pulling the snail out. Not very filling, but they are a snack you might not have tried before.
Zha Rou: Basically its pork wrapped in palm leaves and stewed in a combination of soy sauce and other ingredients. Bound pork is really juicy and you won't need to add any other kind of sauce. It's available anywhere in Qingpu and costs less than a dollar. Also, a lot of places will offer noodles with this treat, which is really good as well.Yellow wine: A good brand of huangjiu to try in Qingpu is Shanghai
